Retreat On The Park is located in the very unique area of Auckland, One Tree Hill. We are within a 10 minute Taxi – Bus or Train trip to the CBD, but what we offer you is solitude and relaxation so close to the city.
We have a very unique home that is situated on One Tree Hill / Cornwall Park which boasts 540 acres of beautifully planted gardens designed by landscape architect Austin Strong renowned for the design of the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Parts of the park are still run as a farm today, providing Aucklander’s and visitors alike with access to an example of rural life in the heart of the city. Our property opens up directly to this wonderful area through our own private gate, walk through you are there, a truly wonderful way to start the day with a walk around this beautifully manicured estate.
Retreat On The Park offers you a self contained and private Pool House incorporating a bedroom/lounge, kitchen equipped with fridge, micro-wave oven, dishwasher, bathroom and sauna. The outdoor area is at your door and includes a 10 mtr pool with sun loungers to relax on. A full size tennis court with rackets is also available for your use, Your host Ranald is only too happy to play singles tennis with guests.
If you would like to see the wonderful sights of Auckland, we are only too happy to arrange a private tour incorporating a variety of attractions that may be of interest that may include the West Coasts Gannett Colony, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Art Gallery, Kelly Tarltons Aquarium, Bay of Islands, Coromandel, Waiheke Island, Rotorua, Taupo, Waitomo Caves or anywhere that interests you.
