We love to cook, are considered foodies and wine-folks, and will be glad to make recommendations based on personal experience for the best places to dine in Petaluma.
We can set up cooking classes here with Juli, who is a former executive chef.
Bread and Cheese Mini-class. $25. In just 30 minutes (spread out in roughly three 10-minute segments) during your two-day stay I will teach you to make a loaf of crusty sourdough bread, and some homemade ricotta cheese. You get to take both items home with you if you want. Just let me know you want to add this one when we communicate prior to your arrival. This lesson takes place in the morning or evening so you won't miss any of your sightseeing or other activities you have planned.
For full-on cooking classes, we just need to make sure our schedules mesh, so these need to be arranged in advance. Cooking classes are half-day for $65 to $125 or full-day for $125 to $150. Cost is per person. You will eat very well that day, and depending on what we cook, may have goodies to take with you.
We also have an AirBnB experience. Here is the link: https://www.airbnb.com/experiences/93690?location=Petaluma%2C%20CA%2C%20USA&source=p2¤tTab=experience_tab
If you are planning to visit during one of the festivals that Petaluma has to offer, you should book early. Example - Butter and Eggs Days.

If you prefer, we are happy to show you around the house and then leave you alone. . . or provide you with lots of local knowledge about places to visit. .. just let us know.
