We stayed at Russett cottage which is one of about 2-3 that are being rented here. Very private, with its own conservatory and small garden. Perfect for us wife, myself and my 21 year old son - with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The shower ensuite to the master bedroom is notable because the shower is Nth American sized i.e. large enough to get into without being a contortionist! Also very good water pressure and temperature. Everything you need re dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, stove, cutlery, plates, pots, pans, etc. We were able to invite my parents over for the evening and host a dinner on the kitchen/dining table with lots of room. TV in bedroom and living room work well and are hooked up to major channels and can access Netflix, etc. Good wifi speed for video's etc. Not exotic equipment and furniture, but solid, very clean and new feel. Great location for us. Very peaceful, yet centrally located so can drive by car to any of the nearby sites of interest in the South UK. Local Barnham railway station (and shops) is a short walk away (20') if you want to go by train to London or one of the other towns served by this line. Great fish and chip shop in Barnham.
Lots of local walks in the area accessible very easily and local Tesco Express, Co-op provide access to usual basic foods, drinks, etc. Several larger superstores are only 20' drive away. Although Barnham is very rural you are only 20' from Chichester.
Bedding was changed once during our stay of about 19 days, with replacement toilet rolls etc. We had to buy additional soap for dishwasher and washing machine, but not a major cost. We had a problem with one of the toilets and Loraine's husband came out early the next day and sorted it out.
For us having the car was important as we were trying to cover a lot of territory. We drove directly down from Heathrow (1.5hrs) and a GPS is critical to finding this place (entering post code into (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps bought us right to the front door!) - (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps was our saviour for navigating the lanes of the UK to get to the sights of interest and worked really well. Has parking space that is easily large enough for 2 cars.
Overall would rate this very highly for people who want a home-away-from-home where they relax and cook for themselves eating out when they want to.
