This impressive period house has beautiful views of the Valency valley and the river leading through the centre of Boscastle. Set back from the coast path this property gives a lovely feeling of privacy while still being in the centre of this famous picturesque village, and the raised garden has majestic views of the harbour.
Bossy Castle is a stunning end of terrace period property, split over three floors which has been recently renovated but retains lots of character features. There is a warming multi fuel stove in the lounge and a well equipped kitchen / dining area with large range cooker and farmhouse table. The bedrooms are all beautifully finished with a rustic style. Outside the private garden offers a stunning, private, vantage point to look down the Valency Valley and watch the river, harbour and the sea, when the tide comes in.
The Elizabethan harbour of Boscastle is famous for the floods of 2004 which devastated the village now it is once again picture perfect with a delightful selection of gift shops, public houses, cafes, restaurants and hotels. Boscastle has one of the most outstanding sections of the coast path with majestic promontories, crashing surf, secluded coves and long beaches with soft, golden sand. The stunning towns of Port Isaac, Rock and Padstow are a short drive to the west and are well worth a trip.
There is one beautiful shower room at the property, but there is no bathroom.
Ground floor: Enter into a small hall with stairs leading up and doors leading to: Large, double aspect, L shaped lounge with comfortable sofas, wood burning stove, sash windows and flat screen Smart TV; Kitchen / dining area with farmhouse table and chairs, fitted units, a large range cooker and further doors leading back to the garden or to the rear yard;
First floor: Stairs open up onto landing with stairs leading up and doors leading to: Family shower room with WC and hand basin; Bedroom to front with 4'6" bed, storage and two sash windows with views of the river; Second bedroom with 4'6" double bed to the rear also with storage.
Second floor: Stairs open onto small landing with master bedroom to the front with fitted units and a 4'6" bed and great views down the river towards the harbour; Further bedroom to the rear with single bed and truckle bed underneath and storage.
Exterior: Parking for 3 cars alongside and in front of the property. There is a large patio area and a private raised garden with stunning views of the harbour, there is various seating and a picnic table.
Facilities & Services
Heating is via the electric on demand radiators. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of units. There is an electric range oven and hob, microwave, toaster, fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a washing line. The living room has a flatscreen digital Smart TV complete with Netflix. There is free superfast WiFi at the property. There is an iron & ironing board.
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included. You will need to bring your own beach towels. We regret that no smoking is allowed. Up to 2 well behaved dogs may stay at the property for the small additional cost of £25 per dog per week. Dogs must not be left unattended in the property. There is off road parking for 3 cars. There is a cot and high chair available upon request.
General Booking Information
Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday.
Short breaks are available during the quieter months of the year.
£200 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
Low occupancy discounts are available for couples staying for 7 nights outside the peak season and using one bedroom only.
You must pay particular attention to details on how to leave your accommodation upon departure. Please note that in accordance with our booking conditions, it is your responsibility to:
1. Report and pay for any damages immediately to the Owner or housekeeper.
2. All personal waste must be removed from inside the property at the end of your stay and placed in the dustbins provided. Please note and adhere to any additional instructions in the property regarding waste disposal.
3. Ensure all washing up is done and excess food is removed from the property at the end of your stay.
4. Leave the property in a clean and respectable condition upon departure.
5. Pet owners are reminded about the specific conditions regarding pets at properties.
Please be reminded that in accordance with our terms & conditions, part or all of your pre-authorised security deposit (should it apply to your booking) is at risk if any of these conditions are not met.
