Ruby Farm Cottage is a traditional granite Cornish cottage nestled behind the main farmhouse up a picturesque little gravel drive. If you are after a peaceful rural retreat that is relatively close to Falmouth, the Helford and the Lizard then go no further, with plenty of fields to exercise your dogs and a purpose built playground to exercise your children Ruby Farm Cottage will provide your ideal Cornish holiday.


Ruby Farm Cottage nestles behind the main farmhouse and is a stunning traditional granite Cornish Cottage, surprisingly spacious inside with plenty of character features including exposed beams and a stone fireplace (not currently working). Outside there is a terraced patio, complete with table, chairs and a barbecue, a hidden garden can be discovered up some granite steps which is a delightful spot to soak up the evening sunlight while enjoying a glass of wine. To the front of the main farmhouse is a communal child#39;s play area that is shared with the other 2 cottages at Ruby Farm, Kernyk cottage and Dingley cottage.

Porkellis is a superb place to stay with stunning access to the bustling port of Falmouth, with it#39;s vibrant atmosphere, Helford River, one of the most beautiful tidal creeks in the country made famous by Daphne Du Mauriers#39; classic novel Frenchman#39;s Creek, and onwards to the untamed beauty and splendour of the Lizard peninsula.

Also available on this site are Dingley Cottage (sleeps 3) and Kernyk Cottage (sleeps 4)

Ground floor: The front door leads into the double aspect lounge diner with sofas, chairs, TV and DVD, dining table, stairs to the first floor and door to the large kitchen, which is also double aspect, with full range of units and a rear door leading onto the terrace;
First floor: The stairs lead up to a landing with doors to; double (4#39;6 bed) bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC, single bedroom and a third bedroom with twin beds and a cot, a family bathroom with WC and hand basin.
Exterior: Drive with parking for 2 cars, private terraced patio area with table, chairs and barbecue, a small private garden and a communal playground area. Guests may walk their dogs around some of the fields on the farm.

Facilities amp; Services
The property has gas central heating. The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of units. There is a gas oven and hob, a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, fridge / freezer. There is a washing machine and separate tumble dryer. The lounge area has a flatscreen digital Freeview TV, with DVD player, CD amp; Radio. There is an iron amp; ironing board. WiFi is available at the property however it is through a satellite and therefore has a download limit (great for emails, not so good for streaming films).

Electricity, heating and bed linen are all included but you will need to bring your own towels and beach towels. Up to 2, well behaved, dogs are welcome at an additional pound;25 per dog per week, although please remember that dogs cannot be left unattended alone. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. There is off road parking for 2 cars. There is a cot and high chair available. There is a barbecue.

Booking Information Arrival / Departure is a Saturday for 2015 and Friday for 2016
Short breaks are available during the quieter months of the year.
pound;150 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.

You must pay particular attention to details on how to leave your accommodation upon departure. Please note that in accordance with our booking conditions, it is your responsibility to:

1. Report and pay for any damages immediately to the Owner or housekeeper.
2. All personal waste must be removed from inside the property at the end of your stay and placed in the dustbins provided. Please note and adhere to any additional instructions in the property regarding waste disposal.
3. Ensure all washing up is done and excess food is removed from the property at the end of your stay.
4. Leave the property in a clean and respectable condition upon departure.
5. Pet owners are reminded about the specific conditions regarding pets at properties.

Please be reminded that in accordance with our terms & conditions, part or all of your pre-authorised security deposit (should it apply to your booking) is at risk if any of these conditions are not met.
