Freshly baked bread for you to enjoy each morning to start your day. Located in the heart Hakodate...walking distance to parks, churches, vintage houses, the gondola, the train station and many sightseeing spots! Best of all is the view from your room...the bay, the cobbled stone streets, and the surrounding mountains. I look forward to welcoming you.
The apartment is halfway up to Hakodate Mountain in Motomachi. The apartment has been recently renovated in a semi-modern style so your stay will be comfortable.
The common area are the living room, kitchen, and bathroom which I happily share with you.
You will have your own bedroom with a new single bed. The bedroom has its own wash stand with a mirror and spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean!
It is a typical old Japanese apartment building and there is nothing really special or fancy about it. But if you want to stay at a regular Japanese home to experience a local life style, my place would be perfect for you :)
Living room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet. Fridge, laundry machine and dryer.

I interact with you as often as you need to make you feel comfortable. I speak English.

You need to be strong enough to come up the stairs by foot since this apartment does not have an elevator facility. But you will get rewarded for that !
I can also provide you a 45 minute traditional Balinese oil massage for no extra charge if you like. Please request before arrival.
My B&B is exclusively for single travelers.
I know traveling with your friends and family is nice and fun because you can share things and feelings with them along the trip. However, I strongly believe that traveling alone can be more fun for so many reasons. I know this from my own experiences by being a backpacker and hitchhiking in unfamiliar countries. By doing so, you have higher chances to interact not only with local people but also world travelers just like yourself and that makes your travel more special, memorable and simply fun because I think THAT IS WHAT TRAVEL IS ALL ABOUT.
So my BnB is for travelers who travel by themselves. For that reason, my BnB may not be suited for females who are uncomfortable with being with a man (me) in the same house and sharing a bathroom and a toilet.
Just make yourself at home ! :)
I go to bed early and wake up early because of my job. I try my best not to disturb your sleep by making sounds in the morning but if I did, please forgive me and just think how lucky you are for not being ME who needs to go for work this early ;). Please go back to sleep with smile on your face. Thank you for your understanding !
Hi, I am Tomo.
I moved to Hakodate in 2016 to become a baker after working as a florist for my entire professional life. I now work at the best organic bakery in the city. I am so proud of what I do now and also where I live. This is one of the most beautiful towns I have ever visited in Japan...you will see when you come. Here in Motomachi, it is filled with a unique history and culture. There are many passionate young people who are proud of what they do and are bringing their own profession to contribute to this beautiful neighborhood. Motomachi is so inspiring and welcoming.
I love traveling. I lived in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Indonesia. I have visited Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Taiwan, China, India, the U.S., and Italy. I hope to visit more soon!
I would appreciate it if you would share your travel experiences with me in my living room!
