Great view, nice people, hostel atmosphere. Bring your own blanket and pillow if you want one, if you get one there you'll have to pay extra.

Very unique experience. A cool communal place they have built there. Short bus ride to the beach, Masada and other cool costal towns along the dead sea. If you don't mind sharing a tent with other people from all over the world than this is the place for you.

My personal pros and cons about the Ein Gedi Camp Lodge, starting with the cons for those who like to scroll: - It was loud. Very loud, like bar/party level. If you plan to come on shabbat take earplugs and don't plan on getting to bed earlier than 02:00. Take good earplugs anyway. - The mattresses are filthy to say the least, you will need to take your own bedsheets or those offered. - FLIES! Prepare for flies everywhere you go as long as the sun is up and you don't stand directly in the direction of the vent. pros: + the least expensive stay close to the dead sea, so it kind of justifies this + relaxed kind of hostel, very youthful and crowded like anywhere in the world + enjoyable sunrise and view + air conditioning inside the tents To sum things up, I can't really recommend this place (depending on what kind of traveller you are). We weren't able to get any sleep before 2:30 because of the party going on and some kids playing guitar badly and pingpong going on throughout the night - if so take one of the tents numbers 4-10, not the first three because the noise WILL reach you. The dead sea is a perfect day-trip from Jerusalem, and not necessarily worth a night's stay unless you plan to carry on further south or anything. Otherwise I would only recommend going to the dead sea by car and just go back to Jerusalem for the night, its really not far (1:20h drive maybe max.).

There is a free shuttle to the SPA area and the beach on the Dead Sea. The atmosphere is super. There are lots of interesting travelers and the view is amazing. What makes this place valuable is the fact that every tent has AC- without, I cannot imagine my stay there. The area is so hot
