The Rocket House is an old fisherman's store right across the road from Portwrinkle beach. A cosy, one-bedroom cottage with an open plan kitchen, diner and sitting room with a large window that looks over the sea. Across the road the beach is perfect for rock-pooling, swimming and a day on the sand.
Perfect for that intimate getaway, cuddled up in the cottage with simply breath-taking scenery on your doorstep.
Portwrinkle is a tiny village right on the sea, there is not a lot going on in Portwrinkle. There is a mid-range hotel in the village, with restaurant and bar, and a beach cafe on the cliff. At the top of the hill, about a mile away, is the village of Crafthole with a pub and village shop.
You will need a car as public transport is infrequent and sporadic, the property has its own off-street parking to make life easier.
I am a publisher based in London where I publish a series of upmarket travel guides. I travel a reasonable amount for business and prefer to stay in apartments and not hotels as it gives a far greater feel of the city.
I am quiet, don't snore and very much appreciate people opening up their home to strangers.
