Beautifully presented and comfortable terraced house with two double bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, overlooking the River Dee. The house has a courtyard garden to the front and is walking distance from Chester town centre along the canal tow path or the main road. There’s a Waitrose two minutes away, as well as three real ale pubs. There are several excellent restaurants in easy walking distance including the renowned Sticky Walnut. Excellent spot for cyclists with two bike shops nearby.
The house is modernised and open plan in design with a long kitchen dining area connected by a glazed door to the sitting room, but was originally a very old terrace and now has exposed beams which date back to the nineteenth century. It sits close to the River Dee and there are very good views from the first floor of the river and the city of Chester, a short distance away. Opposite the house on the far bank of the river is a piece of common land known as the Earle's Eye - referring to lands held by the Duke of Westminster whose estate is a short distance along the river away from the city. The estate properties are obvious as the have a large bluish coloured X within the brickwork design. There are a number of local villages and buildings in the city which are marked in this way as being in the Duke's ownership.
The house sits on the main road into Chester and has private parking in a nearby gated business car park. It is open during office hours and guests have a code to get in and out during the evening and at weekends. It is totally secure and two minutes walk from the house.
Guests have access to all of the house except one small single bedrooms, where a few personal things and other stuff that would make the house look untidy are kept.
