This 7-acre property is tucked away from the main road away from the traffic but only 10-minute drive to town and 5 minutes to fishing. There is 5 acres of farm land and two cabins. The Blue Cottage and “The Bunkhouse”. The Bunkhouse is a dry cabin with 2 comfortable bunk beds. The bottom beds are full size beds. At the backside of the Bunkhouse there is a clean porta potty. The property has a fire pit and plenty of space to park cars, RVs, trailers or boats.
So what is a Dry Cabin? Dry Cabins have a cultural mystique unique to Alaska. They are usually small cabins about 150 square feet. It has no running water, no plumbing, no toilet, no kitchen faucets, no showers. The space is literary dry and it is prevalent in Alaskan backcountry with thousands of Alaskans living in them full time. The Bunkhouse *does* have electricity though, including a microwave, an electric heater and a TV/DVD player
You are welcome to access most of the property except for areas that we are growing food. Feel free to park your trailers and boats as we have a large parking space.

Spruce Acres has the BunkHouse on it as well as the Blue Cottage. The owners maybe staying at the Blue Cottage or sometimes it maybe rented out to other guests.
- Smoking is allowed only outside the Bunkhouse.
- While pets are not allowed inside the cabin, they are still welcome on the property. It is a great place for pets to run around and sleep in their own kennel outside the Bunkhouse.

Todd is originally from Alaska and May was born and raised in Kuwait. They met in China while living there in 1998 and got married in 2002. In 2010 they finally moved back to Alaska with their two little sons.
Todd and May make Alaskan Sea Salt using ocean water from Alaska and they plan on starting a peony farm on their property in Sterling. They are excited to share their cabin with guests traveling from different corners of the world.
