The cottage at Lowes Farm is in peaceful, rural surroundings with great views in all directions. It's the perfect place for relaxing and a great base for exploring the Peak District and all its attractions. There's something for everyone here from the splendours of Chatsworth House to the thrills of Alton Towers.
The cottage has it's own front and back patios and we're happy for guests to wander around our fields when they are not in use (please check with us at the time).
Although we're happy for you to bring your well behaved pet (1 moderate sized dog or 2 small ones) we live in a rural area and there is livestock at Lowes Farm and on the neighbouring farms. We therefore do ask that guests keep their dogs on a lead when walking at and around Lowes Farm

We know that many of our guests stay with us for the peace and relaxation and we want you to have a great stay with us. Although you'll see us round and about, looking after the horses and miniature sheep, we'll do our best to safeguard your privacy. Of course, we're always happy to chat and talk about the animals if that's what you would like, and we're on hand to sort out any issues, answer your questions or tell you about the local area and attractions.

Although we're very dog friendly we are in a rural area with lots of livestock, so we do ask that if you bring your dog you keep your pet on a lead around the farm and in the fields.
Grindon is among the 5% of the country that does not have conventional high speed broadband. The fast broadband provided in the cottage is radio based and more expensive than conventional broadband. More importantly we are subject to usage limits. There is no problem with emails and general surfing, but we do ask guests not to use our facilities for streaming , playing on line games, downloading/uploading large files, using video calling services such as facetime or other high usage activities.
For something a little different, please take a look at the listings for our 2 shepherds huts - Shirley Shepherds Hut at Lowes Farm and Doris Shepherds Hut at Lowes Farm.
Check out time is 11 am on the date of departure.
