Electric rice cooker and egg boilers are provided. Upstairs they are in hallway cupboard under the dryer. Downstairs they are in kitchen appliance cupboard. Heated fold out drying rack is provided near the red couch. Electric tumble dryer is upstairs. We have a high chair and Porta cot available which can be requested at time of booking.

NOTES for new visitors:
1. Please do not park in opposite direction to other cars parked on side of the street. It is against the law in Australia and you may get a parking fine.
2. It is safe to drink the water direct from the tap in Australia. If using bottled water please dispose of multiple plastic bottles away from our property. our rubbish bins.

During wet weather please keep wet shoes and clothes outside at back. Access to back alfresco is down the side pathway through gate marked private.

Please bag all rubbish at departure and place in outside bins provided behind the enclosure near letterbox. Red lid bin is kitchen rubbish. Yellow lid bin is for co-mingled (mixed) recycling.

On departure: please put used towels and linen for washing on the floor in each bedroom. We care for the environment by reducing unnecessary washing.

DESIGN NOTES: Epitomising sustainable multigenerational generational living this listing is part of an 8 bedroom 6 bathroom house. Architect designed as 2 houses in mirror image on a 503 sq m block with north facing rear. The Subiaco Museum advised us that 440 Barker Road was originally a Bakery in the 1930's. Our new front yard purposely has unlocked gates and low fencing to encourage friendly neighbourhood interaction.

This property presents a two storey classical frontage anchored by a central parapet. Each half of the property was originally designed to create separate ground floor garden apartments for baby boomer parents (Lori & Bob) on the East and for Nanna on the West side of the block. When required, adult children could live at home but separate (renting at low cost) in one or both of the self contained apartments above on each side of the combined house having their own private access via a second entry door and staircase.

ElleJay design was consulted for interior decor and garden integration. She specialises in apartment downsizing decor and styling plus office fitout design for the adventurous small business owners wishing to make a statement. Local artisan products were sourced and used where possible.
