This circa 1763 Major John Gile House was built as a tavern and was featured in Early American Life Magazine Fall 2016 issue.
Our accommodations are a 2nd floor private suite, ensuite bath, and continental breakfast. This a must stay for the early American history buff.

The surroundings bring you back to 1763 on a quiet, wooded road. This historic home is decorated for the 18th century, yet with all the modern conveniences. Take a walk down the lane to watch the wildlife at the local ponds.
With the exception of our bedroom suite, travelers have the run of the house. The entrance to the guest suite is by the front captain's staircase. There is wifi,TV,books in the sitting room. There are 2 fireplaces that we tend. There is also our store next door, Pumpkin Hollow Primitives, that features antiques,period lighting, folkart and seasonal decor. It is open by appointment during the week and Friday/Saturday 10-5p Sunday 12-3p

There's so much to do here. There is a real feel of colonial America without the outhouse. The beautiful Maine Coast is 30 minutes away.
