You have stumbled upon the perfect place to gather with your family & friends for a relaxing getaway.
Just over a mile from the entrance of beautiful Spring Mill State Park, our home is made for year-round enjoyment.
Relax on the screened porch, sip coffee in the bird watching room by the creek & pond, nap in the hammock, enjoy a book on the sofa in the Great Room by the fire, cool off in the pool after a hike at the park, roast marshmallows around the campfire, or grill out in the Smoke Shack.
We offer an open floor plan cottage with a cabin vibe. Banks of windows, vaulted ceilings and natural hardwood create an open, airy space.
The main bedroom is downstairs with the attached master bathroom and laundry close. You can stay in this bedroom and access all of the common areas without climbing any stairs.
Upstairs is a semi-private loft sleeping area with beds to accommodate four guests. The upstairs bathroom includes a claw foot tub with handheld shower.
We provide a self-inflating queen size air mattress and bedding which can be used in a variety of locations for additional guests.
We provide plenty of board games, playing cards and books, DirecTV satellite television service, a large-screen TV with DVD player, two smaller TVs with DVD players, and even a craft area for anyone who wants to get their creative juices flowing! Wifi is available, but can be slow at times.
Sip tea and enjoy a novel on the front screened porch surrounded by the forest and overlooking a garden full of hostas. In cooler weather, you can settle in by the gas logs in the Great Room.
Most days, a family of white tail deer will venture through the property while you enjoy breakfast in the dining room that overlooks the bird garden and koi pond.
Outside the house, you can nap peacefully in a hammock or splash in the pool. (The pool will be closed for the 2017 season on Tuesday, September 5). There is a basketball goal, corn hole boards, and other outside toys for those wanting to play outside. The kids will enjoy the tire swing while you sit around the fire pit or grill out at the enclosed picnic shelter. For an additional fee, we'll even set up a tent with cots and sleeping bags in the field for those who'd rather camp out for a night or two.
There is a coffee and tea bar awaiting your arrival. If you require additional dining seating, let us know and we will set up an extra table for you. Enjoy preparing meals with access to the dishes and utensils in the fully-stocked kitchen. Our fridge and freezer will be emptied and ready for you to use, and we will provide linens, basic cleaning supplies, trash can liners, and laundry detergent for your convenience.
The property is just over a mile from the entrance to beautiful Spring Mill State Park. Visit the Virgil I. 'Gus' Grissom museum, hike one of the many picturesque hiking trails through virgin forest, venture out on a kayak or fish for trout on the newly revitalized lake, take a boat tour of a cave, or explore the 1800's Pioneer Village. There are year-round activities planned at the park.
You will have access to the main house, parking areas, pool, Smoke Shack picnic shelter and deck, upper field and fire pit. The detached garage is off limits to guests.
