We were sorry to hear you were not happy with your stay at the condo. Dozens of other very satisfied renters have left reviews below that our condo is nicer than it appears, so we are confused by your concerns. While it can sometimes be difficult to physically locate residences in our rural mountain town, we always reach out ahead of each reservation and provide detailed location, directions and access instructions to try and make it easy to find our place. Most guests get access quickly and begin enjoying their stay right away.
We store lots of extra bedding in the home to help accommodate larger groups who may need extra bedding for the futon and couch. We are not sure what blanket laying on the floor you saw, as extra comforters are usually stored in the upstairs bedroom closets. We did have an old duvet placed under the legs of a recliner to avoid marring our wood floors, so perhaps that is the one which offended you. We also have two older twin sized beds stored in the lofts in our bedroom, again to help accommodate larger groups who wish to have more beds available. We store them inside because we do not want them getting molded or dirty being stored elsewhere.
We have our condo professionally cleaned by our cleaning lady before every rental. While we strive to provide a fresh environment, this is our home, not the Marriott. I am guessing that when Michael's friend checked in early and saw a wet shower, it was because it had just been cleaned during mid day, our only time to turn the property over and take care of things for the next guests. We are happy to try and allow access early, and we would like our future happy renters to have reasonable expectations about our cleaning process.
We have many processes in place to make staying at our condo a pleasant experience for the vast majority of reasonable guests. Again we were sorry that you did not have a good experience but we do sincerely appreciate the candid feedback, Michael.
