We are excited to offer The Boarding House at Pleasant Ridge Farm to the public. Reminiscent of the original Pocono farm I grew up on, where my grandparents had a boarding house and small cottages to accommodate guests from the city looking to experience the quiet of the country. Simple, yet comfortable accommodations set on a picturesque working horse farm conveniently located near many area attractions.
A cottage on the back end of the property features a large deck that overlooks the farm and adjoining state game lands. The house is a simple but cozy space.
Guests have access to the whole house, and are welcome to visit the barn area.

Our property is a busy, working horse farm. It is important to note that guests will experience all the sights, sounds and smells that come along with that. Generally our little farm is a quiet place, but be aware that you may hear farm machinery, donkeys braying etc. We welcome you to walk the farm, visit the barn, watch lessons that may be going on. However, please be aware that most of the horses here are privately owned, so we do ask that you do not approach or feed any of them without first asking permission. Any children in the barn area should be supervised at all times for safety.
The fireplace is currently for show only and is not able to be used. The space has a TV with DVD player, but no cable or wifi. We have provided a variety of movies, books and board games for entertainment. Pleasant Ridge Road dead ends into the State Game Lands. There are nice hiking trails in the park, and about a mile in is a great waterfall. A little further up is an overlook point where you can see all the way to SkyTop. I will leave information on how to find these hidden gems in the house along with other brochures on nearby things to do.
