The house and workshop were designed for artist potter Ben Richardson and his partner Peta. The house reflects their response to this dramatic coastal location.
The accommodation is a 2 bedroom apartment styled, self contained and private space.
The apartment is self-contained and built in 1998. Designed by award winning architect James Jones and his partner Petrina Moore. It allow guests to retreat and experience place and space through contemporary design in this stunning coastal environment.
Our guests have their own fully equipped kitchen with a complimentary dry panty filled with all the basics.
And an amazing local store filled with local produce is just a few kilometres away.
Responsible and respectful behaviour.
Smoking permitted outside.
The amount of interaction with our guests is guided by their interest. Often our guests have an interest in ceramics and visit the adjacent pottery workshop or it may be that we can assist them with travel plans - its really up to them.
Along with my partner Ben we run a successful pottery specialising in using local materials ie, clays, glaze materials and wood from trees on our land when we use our wood-fired kilns. Over the last few years Ben has been very busy making pots for local restaurants, cafes and a cooking school that understand how handmade local tableware is as important as local food.
Also over the last three years we have started to run our B&B. During that time we have met some great people and consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to live our dream of making a living doing what we love.
