Tabanac is a small, picturesque French village set in the hilly 'Entre-Deux-Mers' which overlooks the Garonne river. The closest shops are in the next village (1km) which is best reached by car.
There is an excellent Riding Centre in Baurech (5minutes by car), where you can go on hacks in the local woods and vineyards. There are weekly markets on Wednesday in Créon (10minutes by car), a beautiful Bastide town with a very good restaurant and patisserie, as well as a beautifully maintained cycle path which is popular with families-bike hire available. If you are looking for something more adventurous, there is the 'Ski Cable' (5minutes by car).
