Alexandre booked my place for 32 days, but after 24 days, we had to ask him to find another accommodation.
Alexandre was extremely incapable of living without his parents. We had to constantly tell him to clean after himself and be respectful of our house. Whenever he used the bathroom, all his clothes would be all over the floor, we had to keep asking him to pick them up. All his hygiene products were always scattered all over the communal sink despite the fact that he had his own designated cupboard to put them in. All his clothes in his room were always on the floor despite a triple size wardrobe. Even though our kitchen is not available to guests, he asked if he could use it, which we agreed to for a small additional payment (which was never paid), he would cook and dirty the hub, the work tops and the floor and just walked away. Every day, I had to ask him to clean after cooking. Sometimes he wouldn’t even wash the utensils and pots he used before putting them back with the clean ones. When he left, I took out a large bin full of rubbish. Pizza boxes, dozens of empty bottles, the floor and the bedside tables were littered with paper, underneath the bed was full of garbage, empty dirty plates, cups and cutleries.
At the end, we got tired and we had to ask him to leave and terminate his stay with us. Something we had never done before.
This experience was extremely challenging and was not worthwhile.
