Hi Lynn! Sorry it wasn’t a 5 Star stay. But happy it was at least 4! We’ve only had one 4 Star review and that was from a lovey gentlemen named David, who says he’s never given 5 Star reviews in his life, and to not take it personally, after we reached out privately to see what we could improve ☺️. We do make it clear that there is/was a dog onsite, so some (but extremely minimal) doggie hair in the shared living room will be there. Sadly we helped our 15 year old companion Joker (outlined in the listing) transition on Monday, so to say the least, he is no longer at the house. I can also promise we did a white glove clean after that and I personally vacuumed on Wednesday (as we do almost everyday we are there). Additionally, our fantastic cleaning staff vaccums (and swiffers, wet and dry) the entire space before every new guest arrives (even if other guests are onsite). We split time 50/50 in Gainesville and Boulder, also outlined in the listing, and we happened to leave on Thursday early morning back to Colorado so missed you by a few hours. We certainly live there and are actual tenents, our personal belongings are in the house, sorry if it didn’t feel that way. (We do travel often, but that hopefully is clear in the lisitng. With your feedback, thank you, we will be sure to make it even more clear that sometimes we are not there and as this is a shared house, other guests might be present when other guests are.) Since the shared bathroom, outlined in the listing, was being shared with a student staying for their finals, the bathroom is subject to that type of use. Apologies it wasn’t cleaner as I know our guests try their best and our cleaners deep clean each turn. Since you are new to airbnb, there are a few types of listings and shared houses are one and entire homes others that are more private. The next time you airbnb, I recommend filtering the search to “entire home” to ensure there are no other guest to minimize you nervousness as I totally understand the energetics being siffefnet behind both options. Also, just so other guests know our level of communication, we provide the following to all guests including the one we sent you, when booking with us. (Details removed for privacy):
