Howard was very hospitable! His home was well kept and the amenities (towels, shampoo) provided were much appreciated! If you are looking for a remote, quiet place to stay, this is for you!
Svar från Howard:
The perfect guests, quiet as church mice in an old Colonial cathedral, entered and exited 6 times and I never heard so much as a squeak! I should tell folks they don't need to make the beds before they go but they always seem to do so. Left a very nice note and are most welcome back. Actually would prefer guests hang around a bit and chat over coffee or a stronger libation but that's ok. Guests are always free to do whatever they're comfortable with. Guessing they spent most of their time seeing the sights.
The place was clean and Howard was nice and friendly. But the driveway was a mess and there was no breakfast.
Svar från Howard:
The driveway is only the turnaround in front of my house. Sorry you folks have trouble controlling your Harleys on gravel. The rest of it is a shared road with the neighbors and is gravel and dirt like much of the roads down here. I am not responsible for that public right of way. Also it is very clear in my listings that I charge $15 for meals which are NOT guaranteed with any Airbnb listing. This is not a teacup and doily bed and breakfast. It is an old fashioned Coach House or as close as I can make it with few creature comforts. I did however provide you with free coffee when you complained, suggesting I invest hundreds in those pre-packed single serve coffee machines. I have a $12 Big Lots 4 cup Mr. Coffee maker and rarely drink coffee myself. In closing folks who don't know how to ride 1,200 pound Harley Davidsons should consider NOT riding motorcycles. Half of the countryside is unpaved roads. Your complaints should be directed to the County, State and Nation to provide you with perfectly paved roads. I know, I rode a large motorcycle for years around Ohio and all over Europe. I never complained to the many hotels, hostels and private homes I was graciously invited into that they should warn me about the condition of their roads. Others have stayed here at the Coach House and arrived on big Harleys and had no problem with the gravel roads.
The coach house was beyond expectations. We stayed for a few nights as we were hiking and exploring various local state parks and forests. It was a great place to come back to each night and unwind. The location is beautiful! Howard was very knowledgeable about the area and was a…
My story is long as the Hocking river and as deep as the Ohio wilderness. Let's talk over a strong libation and a crackling fire. Relax, no worries.
