Lovely warm, comfortable and clean flat overlooking the Cathedral ruins in the historic town of Elgin.
Elgin is Moray's capital. An area steeped in history, Elgin's most famous medieval lord is Macbeth. The town is mentioned in Shakespeare's play.
Moray has many local sites of interest within and outside Elgin (distilleries, beaches). Scotland is famous for mountains, lochs, castles and stone circles. If you are travelling from Inverness to Elgin, I recommend that you stop in Forres to see Sueno's Stone - a remarkable 6.5 metre-high Pictish standing stone which is carved with a cross on one side and a battle on the other. The history of this stone is explained nearby.
The flat is situated close to Johnstons' Cashmere Woollen Mill and Elgin museum. A wonderful view, and a perfect location for any visitors to Elgin or Moray.
The bedroom has a double bed and a small vintage/retro chest of drawers. I am using one side of the double wardrobe for storage.
The kitchen (again, quite retro!) is equipped with induction cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. Guests are welcome to use any of these. Please recycle using the containers provided.
Tea, coffee, milk and sugar are provided. There are also basic cooking ingredients such as olive oil, salt, pepper and herbs.
The maximum number of guests I can accommodate is six (two guests can sleep in the bedroom; four guests can sleep in the living room). The living room has a single sofa bed, a double sofa bed and there are also airbeds. Lots of beds and space!
Please note that I do not provide breakfast because most guests prefer to bring their own food.
Guests will have access to the bedroom, hall, shared living room, kitchen and bathroom.

I wish guests to be comfortable and to make themselves at home during their stay. The living room is large, and I encourage guests to make full use of the space available.
I am very friendly and enjoy conversations about Scotland and beyond!

Restaurant/pub recommendation: Drouthy Cobbler (up a side street, off the High Street). Stops serving food at 2000.
This is a no smoking flat, and also a no shoes flat so it would be expected that visitors bring indoor footwear or remove their shoes. I also would politely ask guests to be careful when bringing suitcases into the flat and room because the luggage can scratch the doors, damaging them.
