Our house is in Sibiu, in Turnisor or Neppendorf which is an old neighborhood founded by the saxons in 1336.
Our guesthouse is located very close to Sibiu Airport.
Turnisor is a lovely safe and quiet residential neighborhood, it’s a bit higher than the rest of Sibiu and has amazing mountain views on a clear day. There is a small shop with basics nearby.

We are more than happy to show you our favourite spots around Sibiu, or to simply point out our favourite restaurants or bars. We do this upon request. We speak fluent English, German and Romanian. Activities while staying in Sibiu are abundant. You can do anything from spending the day walking the cobblestone streets of Historical Sibiu or exploring the Astra Village Museum, to hiking and biking through the lush hills around Sibiu, or hike to the top of Gusterita Hill and take in the spectacular view above the city. If relaxing is more the idea, a relaxing day at the Ocna salt lakes might be a nice alternative, outdoor in summer and indoor in winter. Let Sibiu be your base to explore its many wonders: - Astra open-air Village Museum - Learn about Romanian art at the Brukenthal Museum in Piata Mare - Explore Piata Mare & Piata Mica - Walk the 12th century cobblestone streets of the Historical center - Explore the hustle and bustle of Cibin Produce Market where you can find fruit, veggies and taste many types of local cheeses from local producers - Visit Sibiu's religious landmarks such as the Catholic Basilica, Evangelic Church and Orthodox Cathedral. - Explore Nicolae Balcescu boulevard - a stunning pedestrian street. - Enjoy Romanian food such as "Sarmale cu mamaliguta" = meat cabbage rolls with polenta, and for desert: "Papanasi cu smantana si gem de afine" = fried cheese dough with creme-fraiche and blueberry jam. We recommend Zestrea restaurant romanesc at Piata Mare nr 8 for the best romanian food in Sibiu! - Climb the council towel for spectacular view of Sibiu. - 15km out of Sibiu - explore the beautiful village of Cisnadioara and it's Citadel up on the hill. - 30km from Sibiu - Paltinis ski resort - go biking or hiking in summer, and skiing in winter.
