If you'd like to combine a break with our log house in the nearby mountains we'll do a discount - see it here - https://www.airbnb.ie/rooms/4748456
The apartment has been completely renovated (2015/16) - we've scraped back years of modern decoration to create a unique 'modern rustic' Bohemian interior scheme that we hope you'll love.
Guests might like to consider a two centre holiday - here, and also down to our log mountain house about 80 mins drive away. It is also here on Airbnb - great for skiing and summer walks.
The apartment is 92m2 and has two balconies. It's one of the large apartments built for wealthy businessmen in 1905 on the Kazimierz edge of the Old Town. Today that means it has an ideal location between the touristy Old Town and the Kazimier 'Old Jewish quarter' where you'll find the best bars and restaurants in Krakow.
The apartment is on the top, 2nd floor and has high ceilings throughout - approx 3.5m, which we have insulated. All windows have been carefully quadruple glazed to retain the original casements and have triple glazing added.
Salon - a huge, bright room some 43m2 with balcony off that overlooks the square. This room is bigger than most of the apartments listed on Airbnb! It has one Kingsize bed, one large single, two sofas and four armchairs. It can easily seat 10 people in comfort. Murals by celebrated Polish artist Arek Twardowski.
Kitchen - fully equipped with oven, fridge-freezer and renovated 1950s kitchen units. The sink is original to the flat from 1905. This was my main home so it has everything you'll need. Large dining table for 8. Murals by celebrated Polish artist Arek Twardowski.
Wetroom - a good sized wetroom with large shower and toilet. Newly renovated as is the entire flat. Hairdryer and iron. Washing machine.
Bedroom - with large rear balcomy off. Newly lined with antique wood (insulation behind), an antique bath, a 1930s handbasin, and original art (as throughout the flat).
We now have a cot (bedding must be supplied by guests) this MUST be requested before booking as it shared between our other apartments.
Parking - available on street below, metered Mon>Fri 10.00>20.00 (currently 3 PLN an hour) or you can park over the river (free) and walk back.
WIFI installed and free.
Cot and high chair available - do ask to make sure they're here. Bring own cot bedding. No charge for use.
There is an iron and a hairdryer.
You have an entire, large apartment with two balconies.

Typically very little, though my housekeeper lives nearby in case of problem. Late arrivals are fine as we can leave the keys in a keysafe by the door.
No smoking ever inside - you have two balconies and one is covered.
No pets on sofas or beds thanks.

I'm a former University lecturer from the University of Wales (archaeology/ architectural history), and have written several books and TV series on architecture. I love great views, privacy and finding the best locations, and then renovating and restoring in an appropriate style.
