The Smithy is our family home. We live exclusively on the first floor of the house but will be there to help you with any questions you might have. The apartment is for your sole use (we never take more than one booking). If you are two, four or six guests you will complete privacy at all times.
We are always here to show guests to their accommodation and assist with local information and help with any requirements that will enhance their stay. Maps, tourist information and brochures are available for guest use.

As you walk from the house you are almost immediately in the glorious countryside of the Pennines with its hills, valleys, moorland, woodland and reservoirs. If you want a peaceful break there is no need to use your car. We can supply you with ordnance survey maps and advise on suitable walks for you.
Hikers and bikers are welcome to store gear in the garage during their stay. On-road parking is on the quiet lane, just outside your accommodation.
Relax and enjoy yourselves. Tidy as you go and leave things as you find them. No smoking.
Anne and I originally hailed from London but now live in the Pennine Hills in Yorkshire. We enjoy travelling and staying in real homes rather than hotels or B&B's. We're a quiet friendly and considerate couple who enjoy the arts, walking and meeting people.
