Willow's bit of Heaven is part 1800's cabin with a 1940's rear addition. Despite being in the city of Bedford and just 3 blocks from the county courthouse, we feel it is fairly secluded from the neighbors. The back yard is wooded and is fenced in for your pleasure. The front porch is opposite an abandoned RR. We do not charge extra when you bring your dog, and there is no cleaning fee.
This 1800's log cabin has been completely refurbished with new chinking and log renovation. Willow has adorned the living room with photos and mementos from her international travels. The "log room" has a trundle bed (two twins) and has antique dressers from Jimmy's family and there's even a small "Lincoln" bed for your small toddlers. The master bedroom has a queensize bed. We welcome your toddlers- be aware we have breakables within reach.
The entire cabin is accessible. We respect your privacy, but Willow may be there to tend to the gardens or lawn.

Enter the cabin from the back, that is where you will park your car, too. The front door is used only for using the front porch and is not accessible to the public for your convenience. The back door has a key code outside deadbolt. WE WILL SEND YOU THE CODE before your arrival. Just punch on the code and turn the thumbturn counterclockwise. Use this only at check-in. There will be a key on the kitchen table for the door knob. Use this during your stay, and when you check-out, put the key on the table and just lock the door knob.
Alcohol is allowed.
Smoking is NOT allowed inside the cabin.
If you are entertaining outside we expect you to keep it quiet after dark. You may use the firepit as long as it is attended to and completely put out when retiring.
The only pets we allow are dogs.
We welcome your dogs. Please pick up their messes - we have doggie bags in the foyer.
After your stay, please leave the key on the kitchen table and lock the front and back door.
Please note- Any number of guests over 3 is charged $10 per person per night
I moved to Bedford from Chicago in 2010 after retiring. I love to garden and quilt. Jimmy moved to Bloomington from Ft Wayne in 2005 and is weaning into retirement. We both just love southern Indiana. I married Jimmy in 2012 and I've realized he's good at tinkering with old houses. Although allergic, I've accepted his three golden retrievers as our children, while he had to accept this cabin of mine. We are both avid bicyclists and plan on travelling throughout the world on our tandem.
