We expect our guests to read what facilities are available in our apartment before booking. If you failed to do this then I do feel that we should not be reviewed on that basis - and we did send you an exhaustive document outlining everything that was and wasn't included with the apartment immediately after you booked. Perhaps you didn't read it fully? It is identical to the airbnb advert content.
The advert also clearly states that we do not have air-conditioning or a tv. However, there is a small tv in the cupboard for guests who may wish to watch Spanish channels. However, we do not advertise that our apartment has either of the above and because of this, as well as a few other factors, we price our apartment very reasonably against others that may offer extra facilities.
If you had queries about anything during your stay i.e. cleanliness - and especially the presence of a cockroach - we are surprised that you at no point tried to let us know until leaving your review. To help us to help you, we really need to know at the time so we are able to rectify the situation. Again, if you neglect to tell us this at the time, then we are not to know there is a problem.
We consider your review to be unfair as you did not communicate this to us first - and neither did you give us a chance to put things right for you - before you gave a very public and one sided review.
We have fantastic reviews from previous guests. If there had been any problems with cleanliness, I am sure we would have known by now.
I am sorry that our apartment didn't meet your expectations, however we also feel that you have gone out of your way to damage our reputation, even though up until your review, we didn't even know about your issues.
There are better ways of going about things. We would have done everything to help you had we known that you had an issue.
