Part of a beautiful 450 year old converted barn, The Stables has a lovely feel about it. Large open plan kitchen, dining and living area, one double bedroom, and one bedroom with double bunk bed and fun cabin bed. Wood burner and bags of character.
There is a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area in the main part of the barn, with high ceilings, oak beams and cobbled floors - so it does have a rustic feel.
A wood burner adds warmth and atmosphere if the evenings are a little chilly, though there is full central heating for the cooler months, and the large gas range cooker in the kitchen, makes catering a joy. There is a dining table with four chairs (though more can be made available), and sofas to seat up to six.
The double bedroom has fireplace with electric wood burning stove effect fire, giving a romantic and cosy glow, and access to a rear patio area with bbq and outside seating.
There is a wet room lined with travertine marble and pebbles underfoot in the shower.
The second bedroom is in a more modern extension at the rear (The Stables was converted to a wine bar and restaurant before we owned it, and the back extension is where all the amenities were). It's still a bit work in progress. One day we will knock all the walls down and create two separate bedrooms, but at the moment a single bedroom offers a bunk bed with a double at the bottom and single on top, plus a cabin bed for a little one, so it could sleep a couple and two kids, or two single adults/older kids plus one child, or three kids.
The Stables will be offered as a one bedroom property if booked for two or fewer people, unless otherwise requested. The second bedroom will be opened up for groups of three or more, or if specially requested.
The Stables is self contained and private, so you will not be disturbed. If The Stables is booked for two people, there will not be access to the back bunk bedroom unless specially requested.

We live next door, so will usually be around if you need us.
This is a quiet area and the Stables fronts onto a shared private drive with The Manor house next door. Please respect the quiet area and surrounding neighbours. Please park in the allocated parking space at the front of the property, but not use the outside space at the front to sit/smoke/kids to play/etc, as this belongs to The Manor. Please use your private courtyard garden at the rear of The Stables accessible through the main bedroom.
We like to maintain the peace and quiet. Please can you respect this and our neighbours' peace and quiet too!
There is an extra £15 fee for dogs payable during your stay. Please can you can give it to us if we see you, and if not, leave it in The Stables when you go. We ask that you bring your own bed for them and keep them off the furnishings and under your control in the house and garden at all times, and that you pick up any poop in the garden straight away please. The Stables has its own area of private garden, but you can access our garden from yours. Please can you keep your dog within sight and within your area of the garden at all times.
