Wake up on a working farm nestled in a Cincinnati neighborhood where you can collect your own eggs, feed the chickens and drink coffee in the barn while watching Spike the alpaca keep the barnyard peace. Use our apt retreat to curl up with a book, write or rest. But leave time to explore the Queen City: we boast world class food, Zoo, a premier symphony, ballet or musical, as well as a pub crawl through Over the Rhine. In only 20 minutes you could be riding the street car through downtown.
A beautiful studio apartment with private outside entrance. A set of stairs leads to the second floor of the old dairy farm milk house. This former farmer office - now a cozy studio - sits over the roasting room of Deeper Roots Coffee, an artisan coffee roastery. Sleeping area #1 is a very comfortable real twin sized mattresses on a day bed that can be used as twin or pulled out into a king. Sleeping area #2 is a cubby/attic space (ceiling height is 4ft - think hobbit hole). Our full sized teenage son slept here for a year and loved it!
The living space is surrounded by windows. We love sleeping with them open and waking to birdsong.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cooking tools. The barnwood counters and slate backsplash create a warm and beautiful space.
You will have access to the whole farm. We have chickens, alpacas, ducks, Guinea hens and a dog. You will love meeting our Bhutanese farmers who live in the neighborhood and tend the garden. Settle in around an evening campfire and watch the sunset over the barn.
Deeper Roots Coffee Roastery is located on the farm. They stay busy with the tasks of running a growing coffee company but always have time to talk about beans! If you visit on a Tuesday - you can schedule a coffee cupping and education.
Depending on when you visit, we may have farm dinners scheduled, or the monthly drum circle. The drum circle is open to everyone. If you're interested in the farm dinner or breakfast ask us about making a reservation.

During the day - there are people and vehicles coming and going from the farm. While there is hustle and bustle, its not noisy. The evenings are quiet and peaceful, and the sunset over the barn is amazing!
Tikkun Farm is also home to a non-profit that intends to be a place of healing, restoration and repair cultivated through meaningful work and spiritual practices. We have been in the process of slowly repairing the buildings and inviting people to come and live in community on the Farm. We host retreats, workshops, community meals, and spiritual direction. We long for Tikkun Farm to offer many kinds of healing and repair. We hope a person who finds shelter here may come to know the truth that they are Beloved.
One of the gifts of coming to Tikkun Farm is the opportunity to sign up for unique experiences. Would you like to learn more about fiber arts and needle felting? Or participate in an ethnic cooking class less led by our Bhutanese farmers? Sign up for a service project on the farm? We can incorporate these experiences into your stay. Mention your interest in arranging an experience when you make an inquiry.
Depending on when you visit, you might meet neighborhood children coming to the farm house for a cooking lesson, veterans putzing in the garden or Mary leading a coaching session in the barn. To learn more about Tikkun Farm visit our website (URL HIDDEN)
