The bakery and local bar are both very close, and there is an excellent restaurant and brasserie only 5 minutes walk away.

There is always activity on the Burgundy Canal which is a minute away.

There is a shop/Cafe (Shopicerie) by the canal in the next village of Veuvey-sur-Ouche.

The €5 per person per night charge only applies to adults and children over age of 10. AirBNB pricing model cannot cope with this. Ask for quotation / "Special Price Offer"

All guests have to adhere to the House Rules :
1.1 The Client is solely responsible for safety on the property during the period of the Rental.
1.2 Use the safety gate at the top of the stairs if you have young children
1.3 Do not smoke upstairs in the house,
1.4 Keep the front door onto the road secure when there are young children in the house.
1.5 The kitchen equipment should only be used under responsible supervision
1.6 Notify the Housekeeper if any of the Fire Extinguishers are discharged
1.7 Any defects in the house which may lead to degradation of safety must be reported immediately to the Housekeeper

2.1 The “turn-around" from one client to another involves considerable work by the Housekeeper and assistants; please ensure that you are ready to leave the house by the due time.
2.2 Please remove any perishable food from the fridges when you depart.
2.3 The Housekeeper will be changing the beds and cleaning the house. Excessive untidiness leading to additional work by the housekeeper may be subject to a Surcharge
2.4 If the Housekeeper has not arrived when it is time for you to depart from the house, please lock the front and back doors, close the garden gates, and place the keys in the letter-box beside the front door.

4.1 Notify the Housekeeper if any of the trip switches need re-setting in the Fuse Box, or if there are any other electrical problems.
4.2 Use only low-power appliances in the power outlets in the bedrooms.
4.3 In the summer, it is cheaper to hang out washing to dry!

5.1 The Barbecue must only be used by responsible adults
5.2 Do not place any combustible or other material on the Barbecue – this is dangerous and will damage their performance.
5.3 Do not place kitchen pots/pans on the Barbecue grill – they are not designed for this use, this is dangerous, and will damage them.
5.4 Please leave the barbecue and barbecue utensils as you would like to find them.

6.1 Bicycles should not be taken off the property without responsible supervision
6.2 Check that the bicycle child-seat is secure before using
6.3 Please repair any punctures before you leave
6.4 Please notify the Housekeeper of any damage to bicycles

7.1 Please leave all games as you would hope to find them – tidy and nothing missing.
7.4 Please leave a book if you take one away

8.1 The House has a septic tank and is not connected to mains drainage.
8.2 DO NOT put tampons, sanitary pads, condoms or other similar materials down the toilets.
8.3 DO NOT put coffee-grounds or other non-soluble matter down the sink.
8.4 ONLY USE appropriate washing-up liquid, washing powder and cleaning materials.
8.5 If you cause a blockage in the toilets, you will have to pay for it to be cleared! (MINIMUM € 100)

9.1 Spare bedding is available in case of “accidents". Please notify the housekeeper.
9.2 All beds have mattress protection covers. A surcharge will be levied if mattresses are damaged.

10.1 Smoking is permitted on the Ground floor and outside ONLY.
10.2 Please do not discard cigarette-ends down toilets, onto the barbecue, or in the garden. Ash trays are available.

11.1 Do not put cups/drinks on polished wood surfaces
11.2 Rubbish collection Day is WEDNESDAY. Please put the bin outside the garden gate on Tuesday evening.
11.3 Please have respect for the neighbours and avoid excessive noise.

(For English version see below:) Wir haben im Haus von Bruce eine sehr gute Zeit gehabt. Wir haben die Nähe zum Kanal, an dem ein für motorisierte Fahrzeuge gesperrter Radweg entlangführt, sowie die ruhige abwechslungsreiche Landschaft der Bourgogne mit ihren Schlössern, romanischen Kirchen, guten Restaurants und malerischen Dörfchen sehr genossen. Auch das Schwimmen im Lac de Panthin sowie die Märkte und Flohmärkte in Beaune und Dijon waren schöne Highlights. An regnerischen Tagen haben wir den Kamin im Haus genossen. Jeden Morgen haben wir frische Croissants vom Bäcker geholt, der drei Häuser weiter liegt. Vielen Dank, Bruce, für die Gastfreundschaft! We have had a very good time in Bruce's house. We really enjoyed the proximity of the Canal de Bourgogne with its cycle way, of the landscape of Burgundy with its castles, romanic churches, good restaurants and picturesques villages. Additional highlights were Lac de Panthin and the markets and flea markets in Beaune and Dijon. On rainy days the fire place in the house was great. Each morning we got fresh croissants from the bakery next door. Many thanks, Bruce, for your hospitality!

Un excellente séjour dans une maison plein de charme avec un environnement enchanté (couleurs d'automne et promenades le long du canal). Bruce est accueillant et sympathique. Maison parfaite pour 6 personnes.

We had a very nice stay in Maison Verte. Actually, inside its even more beautiful than on the pictures - something rare to happen! We loved the location nearby the canal and an absolute luxury are the bicycles offered by Bruce. For us, the weather was great, but on rainy days the living room is a perfect place to retreat. As we stayed just in three, the house was very spacious for us and my mother had the top floor with bathroom all for her own. Bussiere sur Ouche is also an ideal place to go off from for day trips and discover the many beautiful places Burgundy offers.
