I shan't defend my neighborhood other than to say people shoot their guns every day in every part of the world. This is an urban environment. Nathan's group was in no immediate danger. The neighborhood is well-described in the listing details-twice. What I will defend is myself and my property. Ripping down my pride flag, hiding my other small flag and Pridefloat bracelet in a kitchen cabinet and trashing my home is inexcusable. Nathan's group blatantly broke the no parties clause, they poured an unknown liquid in my sugar bowl, my fruit bowl, my antique Coke bottle, left dirt and mud all over my floors, an overflowing trash can, tobacco spit on my floor and cookies everywhere. EVERYWHERE! Infants throw cookies, not adult men. They left the patio area a total mess as well. The group's blatant homophobia and complete disrespect for my home and belongings is deplorable. This group is very lucky I did not get the police involved with a charge of Destruction of Property. They should be ashamed of themselves. I'm a firm believer in karma. Part of that karma is being banned from Airbnb. Airbnb was kind enough to at least reimburse me half of the money I requested to cover the extra cleaning costs resulting from their deplorable behavior. Had they communicated to me that they wanted to leave early due to perceived safety issues, I may have been open to a small refund. Instead, they let me know a day after they left and also after leaving me a trashed home. Read the listing description. If you are not comfortable in an urban setting, then perhaps this listing is not for you.
