“Red Wharf Bay - LL75 8RJ - 01248 852751 Although located in St David’s Holiday Park, don’t let this put you off – as they have a fabulous menu and distinctive decor. Usually serving lunch between 12.30 – 2.30pm, and from 6 - 9pm for evening meals (8.30pm on Sundays – with a limited menu due to catering for the traditional Sunday roast they offer). Popular with both park users, locals and walkers – it bridges the gap between an upmarket restaurant and traditional tavern. Their amazing glass frontage wraps right around the original building - providing a mesmerising 270° panoramic view - taking in both Benllech & Red Wharf Bay, all the way to the Great Orme in Llandudno on mainland Wales! ”

“The brasserie on the ground floor is gorgeous and the bar is rustic and inviting. However, if you want high end dining then upstairs is an upscale eatery, which is fabulous. ”

“Neaumaris - LL58 8BB - 01248 810429 The Midland, with its chic and understated decor (which has breathed new life into this beautiful old ban (hence the name) has proved VERY popular since its opening! The only downside is the sheer variety on the menu - which leaves you struggling to know which options to go for! True to its Spanish roots though, there are things like Jamon Iberico & Patatas Bravas - but they’ve cleverly managed to mix these up with Welsh recipes - as well as seafood, and ‘garden’ flavours; which makes the whole experience so much more interesting and varied! As with all the best Anglesey eateries, there’s an emphasis on local produce - especially on seafood - and it’s loads of fun getting to try lots of different dishes! So, if you like mixing & matching your meals - this is the place for you! Open in winter (from November until the end of March) from Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm-3pm, then again from 5pm – until last orders (but closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Open in Summer (from Easter to November)7 days a week, from 12pm – until last orders. Glutenfree, vegetarian and vegan options available. ”

“Menai Bridge - LL59 5DT - 01248 716888 A classic pub serving real food and real ales - with real views and a real fire too! Very traditional in terms of decor and menus. It’s most recent owners have managed to pull this popular pub back up to scratch. With it’s outside decking and conservatory area - with super views of the straits and itsfamous suspension bridge - this place is well worth giving a go! They regularly hold special events - and are more than happy to cater for larger groups. Open daily: 11am – late. Food service times: Monday to Saturday: 12pm - 2.30pm, then 6pm - 9pm/Sunday: 12pm - 4pm, then 6pm - 9pm ”

“Aberffraw - LL63 5BX - 01407 840222 Also known as The Crown, it was refurbished in 2018 - it still looks very 90’s to us! However, being located right in the village square, there can be a nice atmosphere when it’s busy. It’s very friendly and, although pretty predictable, the food is always good value. The beer garden offers nice views of the estuary, with Snowdonia as a backdrop on clear days. We wouldn’t go there for a special occasion, but after a walk on the nearby beach it’s a super spot for a quick pint and some local chit-chat. They have live sports on TV too. Opens Mon – Fri:12.00 - 14.30/17.00 - 21.00pm, Sat: 12.00 - 21.00pm, and Sun: 12.00 - 18.00pm. ”

“Rhosneigr - LL64 5UQ - 01407 811103 With its bright purple façade, this place is hard to miss! If it had better décor it’d be one of our top favourites! Fun though, just a tad too garish for us! However, the service is always great, the food yummy and the portions proper sized - plus, the cocktails are lush! Using Rhosneigr lobster, Welsh beef and lamb - along with plenty more local produce, Sandy’s really does have superb menus! Choose from spaghetti seafood, ciabattas, burgers, ‘Menai’ mussels – and so on! Serving up breakfasts, lunches & evening meals – as well as pre-& after-dinner drinks - it’s a great place to pop into any time of day! Relaxing with a drink on one of their comfy sofas, or on the patio by candle light, is pure joy! Having been here for 25 years, it’s somewhat of a Rhosneigr institution – so make sure you give it a go! Located on the High St, its opening hours are seasonal – so check beforehand.”
