I visited this property with 5 friends for a ladies weekend. The kitchen at the house is so fun for a group; easy to cook, well stocked with the basics and a nice place to sit and chat over morning coffee. The furnishings are dated and the interior of the house needs a coat of paint, but the house is nice and functional and everything was really clean and accommodating. I also thought the correspondence about the rental was really friendly and inviting.
Comfortable and inviting space with an incredible view. Large common areas for big groups. Secluded and quiet. Would book this home again and again.
The beds were comfy but you would be well advised avoid the questionably safe inversion table. There was also a vague smell of kitty litter, perhaps due to the feral cats who frequent the garage area? The deck had a beautiful view of the bay, however the unit didn't have a lot of privacy since the owner was in the unit or prominently on the grounds for most of our visit. A couple of weeks after our stay we got a mysterious request for additional money due to such issues including crumbs in the freezer and liquid drips on the kitchen floor. We enjoyed our visit to Port Townsend, but will stay somewhere else next time we are in the area.
Although the space is large and accommodating, it really could use some TLC. Upgrades are needed for the floors and main bathroom. Also, there is no TV or operational radio; although wi-fi is available. That said, it has a spectacular view, well equipped kitchen and laundry area; master bed was comfortable.
This was a lovely stay in a beautiful home with a great view, a fireplace and a huge porch. The hosts were very responsive. Thank you!
House was beautifully decorated and the view from bedroom and deck was amazing! Thank you!
I loved the place, very beautiful and awesome view of the lake. The rooms were very spacious and nice. My only complaint is that the pictures I saw from the Airbnb listing are not accurate of the place I got. I was expecting a two bedroom with one queen bed and two twin beds and I got: One bedroom with one queen bed, a second bedroom with one queen bed and and a queen bed that comes from the wall. It is not bad at all but the reason I chose this place over others that were offered at the same location, was bc of the layout and the twin beds.
Tony's cabin was the perfect calm oasis I needed last weekend. I really appreciated his flexibility and help in figuring out our arrival time. The cabin is adorable and cosy. I wish we had more time to explore the grounds because they are beautiful. There are giant fluffy chickens in the back corner of the garden who have a chicken coop that is bigger than my bedroom back in NYC! Tony is a warm and generous host, he and his wife were unfailingly kind and giving. I feel very lucky to have stayed at his cabin.
We had a wonderful time staying at Tony's cabin. He was very easy to communicate with and flexible with our changing plans. The studio is lovely with a nice open kitchen. The gardens are incredible with fresh raspberries and plenty of spots to read books, lounge or eat a meal. We didn't want to leave!
We loved staying in the nature getaway with Tony and his wife. Both of them, and their puppies, were so welcoming and kind. We were welcomed with bread and chocolate and lots of ideas for things to do while we were in Chimacum. We got engaged while we were there and we couldn't be more grateful that we had such a beautiful place to celebrate the start of the newest chapter of our lives.
Tony's cabin is amazing. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were better than in most hotels. It has a reasonably sized kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, plates, mixing bowls, etc. Great for cooking breakfast and dinner! Good location, too. My girlfriend and I were touring cideries in the area and the cabin is less than 10 minute drive from Finnriver cider. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our stay!
This was a wonderful stay!!! Tony met us at our arranged time and was very communicative prior to our arrival. He was friendly, showed us around and then left us alone. He and his wife are very clear about giving you privacy. The little cabin was very comfortable and has all you'd need for a short or extended stay. And it is QUIET!!! Thanks for an incredibly comfortable night and for the fresh baked bread!
My partner and I both enjoyed our stay with Tony at his nature getaway - the description is as expected. His beautiful (and self-made, may I add) studio-sized AirBnB is tucked away in Chimacum. Plenty of privacy, however we left the doors open and welcomed his two cute dogs to come over and play any time. Thanks for the stay, Tony! p.s., Tony's wife's home-made bread is delicious.
Tony's place is a quiet, secluded gem. Great for a relaxing weekend and home base for exploring the area. They are awesome hosts and have thought of everything inside the cabin. Many personal touches and extras that made the trip a delight.
Nature Getaway was quiet and peaceful. The interior is all wood and decorated with the artist's photos and poetry. I enjoyed reading the simple yet reflective poetry. Each morning my daughter and I took our breakfast on the deck overlooking the garden. On the deck, we were greeted by dragonflies, hummingbirds, and the friendliest and happiest dog in the cool of the morning. When we first arrived, we were welcomed by the host who offered us homemade bread, which we gladly accepted and thoroughly relished. The entire home is comfortable, warm, and inviting. Lots of windows allow for natural light and views of wooded areas and garden spaces. There are short nature trails on the hillside which we explored. Altogether an entirely pleasant experience in a nature space away from the noise and busy-ness of town and city.
