Diner

“This is a Portland icon. I remember going there in the 80's with friends after a night out dancing. It's nice to know that 24 hours a day if you're craving breakfast food you can stop here. It's pretty basic, not the fancy brunch food you can get in Portland now, but it's good and the atmosphere is fun. ”

“Classic diner, classic breakfasts. There are more trendy places, but this is an old school diner with a straightforward menu. Under the radar to tourists, it's a go-to with neighborhood locals.”

“Get your German on at this remarkable delicatessen. People drive from all over the state for Edelweiss's homemade sausages and other meats. Insider tip: order a Reuben sandwich, sauerkraut or German potato salad, and grab a German beer from the cooler for a fantastic lunch. And don't miss the pretzels and European groceries. Prost!”

“Close enough to walk to, but don't be in a rush to get served. Quaint, family owned, and not too busy so you can usually get a seat easy enough. However, the food usually takes a little while. No worries because its all worth the wait! Start with the Lebanese wine and Baba Ganoush and you'll be fine!”

“St. Johns has a historic downtown area, which is growing and evolving on what seems like a daily basis. Businesses that have been around for 75 years, like The Man Shop mix with new ones, like ours, RoM (rome) Shoes. Some of my favorite places to pick up unique finds are The Salty Teacup, Etcetera Gifts and Goods, Therapy, and Coffee Kids for the little ones.”
