“Pike Market is a must-see destination. It can get crowded during weekends, but there are no bad shops to check out. It's multi-leveled with all kinds of hidden corners. My personal favorite places to see/eat are: * Ellenos Greek Yogurt * Storyville Coffee (located above the yogurt shop) * Pike Market Chowder (well-known but HUGE line! Go on a weekday if possible) * Country Dough (Chinese bites) * Beecher's Cheese * Rachel's Gingerbeer * Original Starbucks (also huge line, not totally sure if worth it?)”

Park
“This is hands down one of the coolest places in Seattle! You'll find insane views of downtown Seattle and Lake Union. This place is unique with it's gasworks turned massive art installation. There are big, grassy fields for picnicing or tossing a football around. Stand on Kite Hill and snap some priceless photos - but bring a coat, they call it Kite Hill for a reason!”

Beach
“If you want a PNW beach experience without leaving the city, this is the place to go. In the summer, this park is packed with beach volleyball, picnics and bonfires - be warned, it can get crazy on nice days and parking can be tricky. It's great place to go for a stroll or to camp out and grill.”

Skulpturträdgård
“Make this park the starting point for walking along the waterfront (in either direction). Stunning views and kitschy waterfront activities (The Great Wheel, Ye Old Curiosity Shop). Fish and chips at Ivars is great for lunch (sit outside). For sit down touristy restaurant I recommend Anthony's Bell Street Diner. It's cheaper than the other tourist spots and more relaxed. ”

Park
“Volunteer Park is a large rolling wooded park nestled next to some of the most gorgeous historic homes in Capitol Hill! Bring a blanket and take a nap in the fields with a variety of Seattleites, read a book under a tree, check out the Volunteer Park Conservatory with an impressive variety of plants and flowers (weird hours check website), run or pace yourself to the top of the water tower for 360 views of the city and if you get lucky you can run across weekend events of all kinds on the outdoor stage (or check the website ahead of time if your're not feeling super lucky :). We've come across Shakespeare plays, latin dance performances and multicultural fairs just by chance! ”
