Locally owned, roasting their own beans. Many choices of coffee drinks, our favorite is the Borgia with chocolate and orange peel. Absolutely one of the best coffeeshops in town!

2513 S Jackson St10 minute walk from our apartment. This honestly is the best BBQ in Seattle. The ribs are dry rubbed and sooo tender and not fatty! Just delicious! The pulled pork is equally as delicious as is the brisket! Great in the summer for outdoor eating and live music!
Molly Moons is a fantastic ice cream shop. There are a few around Seattle but luckily we have one 8 minutes walking distance from our apartment in the heart of Madrona shopping area.

This restaurant, also, in our Madrona shopping area is 8 minutes walking distance from our apt. It's fantastic for a lunch and breakfast. They make fresh scones and my favorite breakfast is Green eggs and ham. They also make a pretty good coffee.

This is a 10 minute drive or a 25 minute bike ride from our apartment. It is one of the best beaches near us on Lake Washington. It gets very busy in summer but it's worth it. The swimming is great and afterwards there are a number of great restaurants to choose from to get a bite. There is also some nice little boutique shopping in Madison Park.

The swimming is great and afterwards there are a number of great restaurants to choose from to get a bite. There is also some nice little boutique shopping in Madison Park.
Entertainment & Activities
The Seattle Center is about a 10-20 minute Uber ride from our apartment. It's easier to Uber and not fuss with parking. There is a lot to do at the Seattle Center including events such as Bumbershoot, Northwest Folklife festival, International Film Festival, and many other events. Also, there is the newly renovated Space Needle. I am told the restaurant has gotten better than it used to be but I can't recommend it personally.

Grocery Outlet is a supermarket company that offers discount, overstocked and closeout products from name brand and private label suppliers. You can get your basics here and you can also get some cool closeout stuff like great olive oil and vinegars. Just a tip, make sure you check the expiration dates:)

Getting Around
2.1 miles from our apartment. It's a nice safe station. Mount Baker is a light rail station located in Seattle, Washington. It is situated between the Columbia City and Beacon Hill stations on the Central Link line, which runs from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport to Downtown Seattle and the University of Washington as part of the Link light rail system.
