Our favorite Restaurants
Rincon and the surrounding towns have a ton of great food and amazing restaurants, here's a list of some of the best ones!
If you're looking for typical Puerto Rican classics, the Red Flamboyan is by far one of the best. It's very close to the house, only a few minutes away. The Mofongo and the KanKan Pork Chops are out of this world good.
If you're walking I recommend going when the sun is still out, the road up to the restaurant is narrow and dark.

The English Rose is owned by Ruth and Jethro, an English couple that has been a part of our community in Rincon for years. They have traditional English breakfast items on their menu in addition to American classics. The view is spectacular. Everything is fresh and homemade. Don't pass this place up.
La Copa Llena has a very eclectic menu with some wonderful tapas options. They're right on the beach and have one of the best places to catch the sunset in all of Rincon.

La Cambija has been around for decades. It started as a small pit stop for locals in the carport of a home where typical fried foods and cold beer could be purchased for next to nothing. Now they feature a full menu, great drinks and friendly servers.

The absolute BEST rotisserie chicken, sausages, ribs and kankan pork chops. They use a charcoal smoker and usually by 2pm everything is sold out so go early!
You can smell the smoker a mile away, sizes are generous and the prices are super cheap. Make sure you give them a nice tip, they definitely deserve it!

Rancho Carbon Express

Best Beaches
These are our favorite beaches.
You won't have to go far! Sandy Beach is right in front of our house, it's one of the only (almost) entirely sand bottom beaches in all of Rincon.
This is by far one of the best beaches Rincon has to offer. You can grab a Piña Colada or a cold Medalla at the Tamboo and walk down on to the beach. Remember, always take your trash with you and please recycle!

There's also tons to do! You can check out Rincon Paddleboards to get some rental gear, Taino Divers for snorkel and dive charters, Katarina for sailing charters or Sail Rincon for smaller more personalized sailing experiences.

This is probably the most amazing day trip you can take while visiting Puerto Rico. Take a drive and plan to spend the day in La Parguera, on the way you can stop in Boqueron and Cabo Rojo (see our other recommendations).
Once you arrive in Lajas, La Parguera is a small fishing town that is home to a ton of watersport attractions. Among those options, you can rend a small boat along with a guide for very reasonable prices and spend the day.
The La Parguera Nature Reserve is one of the most biologically diverse ecosystems in Puerto Rico; characterized by one of the most extensive and well developed coral reefs on the island. Here you can observe mangrove forests, red and white mangroves are most prevalent species here. Explore the salt marshes, cays, islets and seagrass beds where schools of tiny tropical fish love to play. The reserve was created to protect all these natural treasures and it’s currently managed by DRNA. Dolphins, manatees and turtles love these waters, so count on having an interesting underwater experience.
