This is an ancient stone temple located on a clearing in the forest at the foot of the Western Ghats. Dating from the 12th century, it is notably said to be Goa's oldest temple. During the rainy season and for a few months therafter, the Tambdi Waterfall can be reached by a 1,5 hour trek into the forest from the temple gate.

Tambadi Surla Mahadev-templet

Dudhsagar Plantation is a 50 acre organic farm located on the fringe of Mollem National Park. The spacious goan-style cottages are set in a coconut grove, in the midst of exotic plants. It's a peaceful place with lots of birds and butterflies, nature trails, a panorama pool and home cooked food. And there’s always some firewood ready for lighting up a bonfire under the star spangled sky. Your hosts at the plantation are the Malkarnekars, an Indo – German family with roots in Goa. They’ll be happy to show you around the plantation, explain their eco farming practices and introduce you to indian cooking.

If you like Whisky, don't miss the distillery tour at John Distilleries in Cuncolim, about a 30 min drive from the farm. Can be combined with a visit to the Portuguese era mansions of Chandor.

Kulem Station FOB
Kulem Station FOBKulem Railway Station is located only 10 km away from the plantation.
Madgaum (aka Madgaon/Margao) Railway Station is located 30 km from the farm. Pre paid cabs are available here. Bike and Car rentals are also available at Madgaum.

Goa's Dabolim International Airport (GOI) is about 1 hr 20 min away. You can get prepaid cabs here, or we can arrange a pick up. If you're confidant driving on Goan roads, a self driven rental car or bike is a good alternative.
