Famous restaurant and pizza place on Monopoli's old square (piazza Garibaldi, right across from Caffé Venezia). Great for both fish and pasta dishes, personally the best pizza in the old town. They also make an excellent gluten-free pizza (probably the best I've ever had to date). Price range is medium-high.

This is my latest discovery for "finger food" and wine (dinner sized portions...). It's a lovely family run delicatessen that serves food in the evening, grilled vegetable, cheese plateaus and bruschetta, sometimes some oven dishes too. It's still pretty unknown in Monopoli, right across from one of Monopoli's beautiful convents, right next to piazza Palmieri, very cozy atmosphere.

It's a lovely family run delicatessen that serves food in the evening, grilled vegetable, cheese plateaus and bruschetta, sometimes some oven dishes too. It's still pretty unknown in Monopoli, right across from one of Monopoli's beautiful convents, right next to piazza Palmieri, very cozy atmosphere.
Gelato
Delicious ice-cream. Their flavors "Perla del Sud", "Tartufo bianco" and "gelsi rossi" (red mulberry) are highly recommended.

"Mandorla di Toritto" is a must-try ("almond from Toritto" - Puglia is famous from almond production and almond pastry). If you're a gelato fan as much as me or if you just wish to enjoy your treat on the house rooftop, you can also ask for a tub by the kilo to take home with you, every ice-cream parlor in the country does this.

They set up an excellent buffet for breakfast, both sweet and savory - full buffet breakfast must be booked the day before (just stop by yourself and ask for Patricia or Sandrine, book via WhatsApp, or I'll happily book it for you) and the price is around 30 euros per person. If you'll be just as happy with a lighter breakfast you can simply pop in in the morning and ask for the quintessential Italian breakfast, a cappuccino and a croissant.
In the evening they put out tables in the adjacent Piazza Santa Maria for aperitivo and evening drinks.
