I might even have an extra take-out coupon to give you. Just ask. They also have outdoor patio seating available in the summer. Reservations are suggested for Friday and Saturday nights.

If you're visiting from out of town and heard the name "Mike's Pastry", you don't have to venture all the way to the crowded North End neighborhood to get your cannoli fix. There's almost never a line and it's just as delicious at their Harvard Square location.

This is the closest grocery store, but take note to bring your own reusable bags whenever possible. They no longer distribute plastic bags here. There's a Dunkin Donuts inside and they have a fairly large selection of groceries and produce.

It gets very busy because it isn't too big, but the freshest fruits and vegetables, excellent cheese selection, loads of fresh cut flowers and even a bakery section with beautiful cakes. This place also sells beautiful plants in the lot out front. Their hours are a bit more limited than the major grocery stores though so check before you go.

This is a great place to go to cool off for cheap ($5) on hot days. Beware, parking is super limited so get there early. There is a great roped off beach area for the kiddos, and you can trek along the pond trails to find other places to take a dip too.

This beach is beautiful and the sand actually "sings" when you walk through it because of the amount of lime in it, it squeaks! You can take a commuter rail to town and it's an easy 10 minute walk to the beach from there. Walk on passes are only $5 per person. Parking can be tricky but still doable if you get there early... be ready to pay $25. Only town residents are allowed to park in the on-beach lot. Or try parking at a meter, but be sure to check it every 2 hours... they ticket quite aggressively.
