This mall is located about 10 minutes north. Children's play area includes an outdoor/indoor access point. There is only one entrance/exit, so it is quite safe. The outdoor part of the play area is also a splash pad.

Bring lots of water. Short but steep hike. The view at the end is AMAZING. I'd recommend going early in the morning and watching as the sun rises over the valley. Take some snacks or a light meal along in your backpack. Take sunscreen too - not a lot of shade.

There is an entrance fee to take the Alpine Loop, so have some cash on hand (I'd bring $10.00 - $20.00 - though I don't believe it's nearly that expensive to get through). This is a beautiful drive that will take a few hours - longer if you stop to explore or view the scenery. Make sure you have a full tank of gas. Take food and water for a picnic. Cascade Springs is a short turn off, but it's beautiful. Has a walkway around the springs with lots of informational plaques for your reading pleasure.
