Born in Meaford, head chef Andrew Barber has his "Roots" in Meaford and returned to the area to open this highly rated restaurant (Trip Advisor 4.5/Google Review 4.9) "Roots" has a lunch, dinner and kid's menu. Local favourites include Lemongrass Poached Halibut, Grilled NY Striploin, a Vegan Curry Bowl, and, my personal favourite a Baked Gorgonzola Dip Appetizer! "Roots" takes walk-ins, but I would recommend weekend reservations.

Free admission to this park, which has one of the nicest public beaches on Georgian Bay. People like to swim, snorkel, canoe, kayak and windsurf at this location. Scenic trails throughout park are famous for beautiful wood lot and a blanket of trillium in the spring. Use picnic shelters or stop by the "Snack Shack"!
