The Elms - River Room

The Elms is conveniently in Westbrook, with easy access to Portland and the Interstate. The River Room has one queen bed, private bathroom with tub, a desk, large closet, and a view of the Presumscot. This is the most desirable room in the Elms. Historic Building, built by a renowned architect, originally served as a luxury Maine resort to entice business to the local mill. Featuring splendid carved wood features, fireplaces, spacious rooms, and a screened veranda overlooking the river.

The River Room

This peaceful King Room with a private bath is located on the first floor & has everything you need for your trip! The old beams across the ceiling and huge pine floor boards make this room extra special, not to mention the propane fireplace & stunning views of The Machias River! Antique decor with a touch of Maine in the room help to capture that 1830’s farmhouse vibe. The room is stocked with coffee, linens, & soaps, along with a tray of goodies ready for your arrival! A guest favorite.

We suggest researching the area ahead to know what’s nearby and come prepared, as we aren’t always instantly available to reply. Direct ATV/snowmobile trail access with trailer parking. On-site Pub Lounge: Thurs 4–8, Fri 4–10, Sat 12–10 with food, drinks & events. Some sound may carry—no complaints so far, but don’t book if that may be an issue. Ask about private 1920s theater time! 🎬

Dominion Hill Country Inn - Curtis Suite

This private premier suite overlooks the gardens. The large bedroom has a polished wood floor installed more than 150 years ago. French doors separate the king size bed from the sitting room, with a full sized pull-out sofa. The private bathroom is spacious with a large shower. The suite is air conditioned with a smart television with Roku, WiFi, and a mini fridge. Head downstairs in the morning and enjoy breakfast on our outdoor stone patio or in the Manor House dining rooms.
