Sunrise Cottage

Gateway Cottages are clean, safe, affordable, basic and environmental friendly accommodation situated on the Gateway Transformation Campus, Chirombo village, Monkey Bay, Malawi. Follow the M10 from Mangochi to Cape MacClear, and turn right at the turn-off the Cape MacClear at the Engergen Filling station on your left. Turn right on the gravel road into the village towards the Lake. Find our sign board 2 km from the turn off on the left, Gateway Transformation Center/Guesthouse.

The Cabana

This self-catering space is located on the lake front. With a comfortable double bed and bunk bed, this is a perfect family spot! Enjoy sunset from your private patio. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, microwave and small fridge. The en-suite bathroom has a hot shower. Located directly across from the well-stocked local grocery store 'Stop and Shop'. Night watchman and secure parking on the premises. Laundry facilities available at an additional charge.

Kalibu Cottage

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. fall into holiday mode with an on site cook, a garden assistant and security guard. Air-conditioned rooms and an in ground pool to keep the heat beat throughout the day and night, will have you wanting to spend your whole vacation in this little happy place. A raised beach terrace invites you to the sand just outside the security fence with a boat ramp available should you need it. "Kalibu" means "Welcome"

Joe’s Annex Cottage

Joe’s Annex Cottage is cosy house with spacious rooms, a beautiful garden with camping space. There’s also a beautiful outside sitting area for those hot days with lots of local games available and a BBQ stand of course for the daily fresh catch of the famous tiger fish Kampanje. It is located on the village street of Cape Maclear, 20m from the lake with a private beach. Closer by is Kayak Africa and amenities just outside the compound.

Lake Malawi - Mbondo Cottage @Namaso Bay

Mbondo Cottage is located on one of the most tranquil bays along Lake Malawi’s western shores offering perfect sunrises. Wake up to birdsong and fishermen coming in with their catch in time for a lunch of Chambo (tilapia), take a walk along the beautiful beach. The shallow waters of the shoreline also offer some relaxing swimming. Catch a drink as the sun sets. Trips to Lake Malawi National Park and Cape Maclear can be arranged.
