The Garden Bed & Breakfast is located in the small friendly village of Over Haddon, just 2 miles from the town of Bakewell in the beautiful Peak District National Park. We are just 6 miles from Chatsworth House so ideally situated for attending their events, Haddon Hall is 4 miles away. Our Bed & Breakfast overlooks the Lathkill Dale, a lovely nature reserve with walks to both Monyash and Youlgrave. We offer a friendly personal service and aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Elton Guest House Family Suite

Elton Guest House is a former farm house lovingly restored by the current owner. Close to Matlock and Bakewell and attractions such as Chatsworth House. The grounds feature ample parking in our cobbled courtyard and an old lamp post and water pump on the frontage. The family suite consists of two bedrooms, one large bed sitter with a double and twin beds and a separate twin room and en suite bathroom. Breakfast is included in the price. There will always be a warm welcome at The Old Stables. We have a lovely double room available. TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a continental breakfast are provided. You have your own private bathroom, with a large walk in shower & roll top bath. There is great walking, running, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, climbing & golf all on our doorstep with good views from the house of Bamford Edge, Win Hill & Shatton Moor. We will be around if you need us and happy to have a chat. Currently breakfast is available at Avenue House, a few mins walk away. Breakfast is between 8.30 to 10.00am and is included in the price.. Sherwood Forest and Sherwood pines mountain bike trail are less than 10 mins drive, with lots of nice walks in the vicinity. Easy on street parking and a relaxed homely feel.
