Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.

Bass Harbor headlight, Ship Harbor, Wonderland, and Seawall picnic area. Bar harbor is a 20 minute drive. Nearby is Archies lobster pound, Hansen’s seaside takeout (both walkable) and by car Thurstons lobster pound. And Seafood ketch. There are many other options in the neighboring town of Southwest Harbor.

Our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house is located in the Village of Southwest Harbor on Mt. Desert Island, where local lobstermen start their day around 3 am. The house is located across from Milagro Coffee Bar and the Shoppes at Southwest Harbor and just minutes away from many hiking trails in Acadia National Park, restaurants, shops, swimming holes & beaches. Carriage House in Acadia, 5 minute walk into town

Our 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is located on a family compound of 8 acres, just a 5 minute walk into the heart of downtown Southwest Harbor. We are a 5 minute drive to an Acadia Park entrance, and 20 min drive to Bar Harbor. Close to restaurants, family activities, Echo Lake for swimming, and public transport. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. No pets.
