Gesthus - Summer House with Private Hot Tub

In 2014 we built two big luxury summerhouses, 50 m2 each. They have 2 bedrooms, one with a double queen size bed and the other with two separate beds. There is a sofa bed in the living room that fits 2 people so the summerhouses can fit 4 - 6 guests. The big terrace is very beautiful and has garden furniture and a private geothermal hot tub. The kitchen has ceramic cooker, oven, microwave, refrigerator, kitchenware, tableware for 6, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle and dining area.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place while only 20 min walk from city centre and less than 10 min walk to a supermarket. Perfect location in Southern Iceland right on the Golden Circle. Centered between many of Iceland´s greatest nature pearls such as Gullfoss, Geysir, Þingvellir, Jökulsárlón and many more. Many natural and historical museums in the vicinity. After a great day sight seeing it is perfect to wind down with a TV in all bedrooms and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Gamla húsið is in Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga horse-farm, located in the south of Iceland, 35km -from Reykjavík in Ölfus and 3min. drive off Route 1. Perfect as either the starting point for an exploration of southern Iceland or as a base since it is close to the Golden Circle and a few hours drive to the glaciers and black sands of the south. Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga is a horse farm, on the banks of the salmon-rich Ölfusá river surrounded by beautiful landscape.
