“The Devonport Ferry connects Devonport with the Auckland CBD and is just a 12 minute trip, the Ferry journey provides a great opportunity to view the inner Auckland Harbour and the Peninsula of Devonport. The Ferry service operates every half hour throughout the day from Pier 1 in the city and the Devonport terminal, but we recommend you check their timetable prior to your journey. The ferry terminal in Devonport is located at the end of Victoria Road and is serviced by several bus routes that will take you to other parts of Devonport. For sailing times and ticket prices visit the Fullers website. Ferrys depart here for Waiheke, Rangitoto and the City”

“History, culture, nature and decent parking A fantastic performance venue; or two venues in one, really. The amphitheatre is brilliant for the summer Shakespeare (bring a cushion) and the indoor stage is cosy but not claustrophobic like some small theatres. The attached cafe does serve good stuff before curtain and at intermission, but you can bring your own picnic if you like. Surprisingly accessible too, for Takapuna - it must have the best parking in Auckland. The park is beautiful for itself too, and you can even swim in the lake.”
