Flagstaff has the best stargazing I've ever experienced, so Lowell Observatory is a great place to visit to learn about the night sky and space beyond. Pluto was even discovered here, so you can check out the telescope used in its discovery!

Lowell Observatory is known for the discovery of Pluto - whether to call it a planet or not. The tours are interesting, great gift shop and telescope viewing at night. Definitely worth the trip!
