Fort San Felipe was built in 1564 and is one of the oldest surviving buildings. Constructed with 7 ft thick walls served to keep people out, then turned prison and served to keep people in. The tower contains a small museum of guns, shells and cannonballs, with sweeping views of the Atlantic ocean.
Le Papillon is an excellent restaurant for surf and turf. Los Tres Cocos is also serves exquisite food. Stefie and Natalia is itallian and has great homemade pastas pizza, great for the family. Los Rocas in Costambar is a german restarant, very good. All restaurants within a few miles. Ocean World…
Very old city worth spending a couple days wondering around in , very busy, can seem a bit daunting, but so interesting and I really recommend the Malacon ( main drag on the ocean) different cassetas and bars and much to see, lovely day on the beaches as well. Very interesting this city is!
